Torontonians, show some Local Love on 4-16!

ah, Local Love Day... comin' up on its forth year, and we are feeling just as happy about the notion that our wee little not-for-profit initiative shall, for the forth year in a row, shine its ever-brightening light on the dark corners of the ethical-business sphere. Shedding a spotlight upon the indie-retail revolutionaries and quaint little mom n' pop shops that pepper our urban-scape with character, community, and culture 'cross the reaches of our expanding city.

The reality, we agree, is that every day ought to be Local Love Day, ( we profess our undying love all 365 ) but still it brings a smile to our hearts knowing that on April 16th (4-16) we are setting a collective intention to sustain and transform the future of our economy by collectively generating a massive, deliberate, and focused amount of energy and love; and it is with that love that we strive to sustain small business beyond this single day.

4-16 is about fostering connections within our communities that will endure, empower and evolve into new and more beautiful economies.

Let's just put it out there:

Supporting your neighbourhood shop is no longer really an 'option' but more-so an obligation; if globalization continually manifests, small business faces inevitable eradication, and thus disintegration of the backbone upon which our communities are built. So while we are thrilled to celebrate this day, we remain fully aware of the big picture reality that observing 100-mile mindfulness is but a small perspective in a big picture vision- one that reflects much larger shift.

On 4-16 let your intuition guide you as you discover your 'hood for the hundredth time as if it were the first, or the first time of many hundred more. The Local Love Day campaign encourages everyone to enthusiastically empower their communities - both macro and micro by ensuring that any purchase made on April 16th is a sustainable one. Consider it setting your intention for a thriving neighbourhood ( both within and without ).

Fellow Torontonians, make 4-16 a day you spend for the shift.

Shop your hood on 4-16.

Big up our backyard revolutionaries!

Show your support:

1-
like it. Tell your friends!

2 -
offer Local Lovers an incentive to visit your biz on 4-16

3 - hold a guerilla shop-hopping-by- hood-adventure and
share it with us

4 - tell as many peeps as possible to spend for the shift and make an even bigger impact.

Support an economy that sees our collective small-businesses thrive.
